Hours Of Operations

7:00 am to 4:30 pm Mon.-Thurs. Friday 7am-11am Winter hours
6:00 am to 3:30 pm Mon. thru Thur.- Summer hours

Updates/Closures/News: 

  • Street Crews will be working on Huber Rd.,  laying fresh gravel and installing water colverts.
  • Park Crews have finished the Splash pad. Summer will be filled with fun in the sun!!
  • Crews will continue to work on the park located at Keller Rd. and Seba Rd.  The dog park is open, but not completed. Keep and eye out for future add ons to the park. A BMX park will be added to this area in the future, no set date as of now.
  • Walters Rd. & Herbaugh Rd. will be paved in the next coming months.
  • With our town growing as fast as it is.  The Public Works Department is constantly evolving to keep up.  We ask the pubic to have patience with construction and keep an eye out for workers.  Slow down and pay attention to all warnings and temporary signs.

Responsibilities & Activites

The street department is responsible for the equipment maintenance program, the maintenance of all roads, storm drainage programs, and a wide diversity of similar activities.  This is one of the City’s most diverse departments. The city-wide goals of enhanced livability and economic development directly affect the operation of this department.

 

Among the many activities of the street department are:

  • Street sweeping with concentration on arterial and collector roadways
  • Roadway repair
  • Provide support for community events in the form of manpower and equipment
  • Respond to problems with available manpower, recognizing potential roadway failures, and maintenance as a higher priority
  • Provide annual grading and repair of gravel roadways
  • Continue with the current crack sealing and resurfacing programs
  • Provide pavement striping and marking
  • Provide street sign installation and repair
  • Clean, repair, and replace storm water catch basins, distribution boxes, and piping
  • MS4 Education and compliance
  • Develop, improve and maintain the city’s parks infrastructure

No, other than residental or commercial landscaping, excavating is prohibited without a permit.
